Developing Strategies for Success

These workshops address such key issues as personal development strategies, people-smart communication, and dealing with conflict.

Enabling workshop participants to see and understand their own behavioral styles -- and how those behaviors impact key workplace relationships -- opens a productive dialogue in which employees can take a personal inventory, determine what they need to get the job done successfully, and develop long-term strategies for success. Every participant leaves with a detailed personal action plan, as well as the tools to accomplish their goals.

Team Building

Organizations are most effective when teams of people, with the right mix of skills, work together to achieve a common goal or set of goals. This interactive workshop is for anyone responsible for building a team.

Participants will begin by identifying their own behaviors and learn how personal behaviors impact the success of the team, job performance, key relationships, and the organization. They will learn to recognize and leverage the strengths of each team member to achieve a common goal, and will walk away with a process that will help them establish a common purpose with specific objectives, and to form a team with diverse, complementary behaviors.

Empowering Your Organization

It is essential for leaders who work to inspire team members to take personal ownership of their success.

This interactive workshop is for supervisors, project leaders, team leaders, managers, and executives who are responsible for developing departmental or organizational goals, and for communicating a compelling vision. Participants will walk away with a specific empowerment action plan.

Leading vs. Managing

This interactive workshop is for supervisors, project leaders, team leaders, managers, and executives -- anyone who is responsible for leading people to accomplish departmental or organizational goals. In the daily activities required to manage an organization, it's easy for managers to become task focused and lose sight of the importance of developing their people. Participants will walk away with a specific leadership action plan, aiming them toward personal and organizational success.

By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:

“People-Smart” Communication

An organization may be highly skilled at developing solid strategies; its leaders may consistently set aggressive performance goals. However, if the goals and implementation are not communicated effectively, neither the strategies nor the goals are likely to be achieved.

This interactive workshop helps employees at all levels in the organization communicate effectively. It provides participants with tools and techniques that will help improve individual effectiveness by developing communication skills. They will discuss the essentials of effective communication. listening and responding, giving and receiving feedback, and will walk away with a specific action plan for effective communication.

By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:

Personal Development Strategies

Organizational success is dependent upon the ability of each individual to perform at his or her personal best. In this highly interactive workshop, people at all levels in the organization learn to take personal ownership for job achievement.

Through a variety of activities, participants will learn to identify their own behavioral style, and the styles of others in the workplace. They will inventory their personal assets -- professional as well as behavioral -- including knowledge, education, experience and skills, and compare them to job and organizational requirements. Where gaps exist, they will learn strategies to bridge them.

Participants will walk away with a specific action plan to help them achieve personal and organizational success.

Setting the Right Goals

Self-leaders are those who can set goals for themselves and work diligently to achieve them. In order to develop this quality, individuals need the ability to recognize, cultivate and leverage their own assets.

In this workshop, participants will identify their behavioral strengths, and learn the importance of setting achievable goals that leverage those strengths. Participants will learn a process of setting goals that are aligned and built upon each other, maximizing the benefit to themselves and to the organization. They will lay the foundation by establishing personal goals; they will build upon that foundation by establishing professional goals, and expand beyond themselves to department and organization goals.

By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:

Coaching Strategies

Participants explore the benefits of coaching. They begin by identifying their own unique behavioral strengths and how these strengths can be leveraged for effective coaching and mentoring.

When you coach you enhance overall organizational performance by helping others identify, understand, and leverage individual strengths to achieve results. Your coaching helps individuals contribute fully to the success of the organization.

By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:

  • Practice a foundational coaching process
